Stainless steel product pipes are used in bathrooms, kitchen utensils, furniture, etc., and are also used in large quantities. Some users not only need dimensional accuracy, but also need mirror polishing, especially for kitchen utensils, the surface requirements of stainless steel pipes are relatively high, and the appearance needs to be bright and clean. The mirror polishing process can not only make the steel pipe not easy to scale, keep it bright and clean, but also improve the corrosion resistance. But how is the mirror polishing process of stainless steel product tubes carried out? It can be divided into the following steps:
1. Coarse grinding
The stainless steel pipe that needs to be polished on the double-head polishing machine is repeatedly polished with an 80# or 120# abrasive belt until the surface of the steel pipe is flat. The purpose is to initially remove local depressions, welding spots left by welding, collisions and deep scratches.
2. Secondary rough grinding.
Use 180# abrasive belt to grind rough stainless steel pipe, and polish the lines made by 120# abrasive belt. Make the steel pipe free from scratches and collisions. During the polishing process, pay attention to the inclination angle of the belt grinder and control the pressure of the belt grinder on the welded pipe.
3. Semi-finishing
The stainless steel tube after the second rough grinding is polished with 240# abrasive belt, and the lines polished by 180# abrasive belt are polished off. This process is mainly to correct the seams of the previous process, and further finely grind the traces produced by the secondary rough grinding, so that the surface has no scratches and is basically brightened. Be careful not to create new scratches and injuries in this process, as such defects cannot be repaired in the latter process.
4. Fine grinding
Use a 320# abrasive belt to polish the semi-finished stainless steel tube, and polish the lines produced by the 240# abrasive belt. The goal of this process is to make the seam between the ground part and the unground part basically disappear, and the surface is further brightened.
5. Secondary fine grinding
Use a 400# abrasive belt to polish the finely ground stainless steel welded pipe, and polish the lines of the 320# abrasive belt. The workpiece ground through this process is basically close to the mirror effect.
6. Half light
Repeatedly polish the secondary fine-grinding product with a hemp wheel 4 to 5 times, and polish with polishing white wax during the polishing process, which can remove the lines of 400# abrasive belt polishing.
7. Light out
Use a cloth wheel to repeatedly polish the semi-luminous stainless steel product 4 to 5 times, and polish it with stainless steel mirror blue wax during the polishing process to obtain a mirror effect, and the mirror reflectivity can reach 6K or 8K.
The above is the mirror polishing process of stainless steel product pipe. Through the seven process steps of rough grinding, secondary rough grinding, semi-fine grinding, fine grinding, secondary fine grinding, semi-gloss, and light emission, and repeated polishing with different abrasive belts, hemp wheels and cloth wheels, the specular reflectance of 6K is finally obtained. Or 8K mirror stainless steel product tube.
