Stainless steel electrochemical polishing features
2nd of September ,2014

(1) Electrochemical polishing is more efficient than mechanical polishing, but large workpieces can not be put in the polishing groove, and requires a particularly large current, it is difficult to carry out electrochemical polishing.

(2) The surface current density of electrochemical polishing workpieces must be uniform, if necessary, pictogram cathode, otherwise the surface brightness is uneven.

(3) Electrochemical polishing when the current is relatively large, fixture and workpiece need to have a large enough contact area and good contact, otherwise local overheating will burn the workpiece.

(4) Some stainless steel polishing process for Auschwitz can not be used to polish Martel stainless steel, easy to produce corrosion. Stainless steel chemical polishing is to immerse parts in a suitable solution, because the solution to the surface protruding area than the concave part dissolves faster, so that the surface level, to achieve polishing purposes.

Generally speaking, the polishing ability of chemical polishing is poor, only a small amount of brightness. However, it is less labor-saving and time-saving than mechanical polishing, and can polish the inner surface of small parts. Recently, it has also been reported that the use of added brightening agent method can make 18-8 type Auschwitz stainless steel surface thrown to the mirror bright.
